2009 Summer Plans to Include Phish Tour?

Say it's so Trey....great piece in Rolling Stone about hints of Phish getting back together. When I was at Coventry, I remember telling the fellas that I would be upset if Phish ever got back together (b/c it would mean that the epic trip to Coventry for the phinal shows ever would mean something less). To steal a quote from Trey, "but its symbolic of how much I lost my mind or how much I lost my bearings or something."

Slave to the Traffic Light

When Kerri and I first moved to CA, my first job at Weber Shandwick/Rogers & Cowan required me to drive 2 hours each way to work 5 days a week. That was approximately 20 hours a week for 50 weeks a year over two years. Almost 2,000 hours wasted sitting in traffic on the way to and from work. Thank god for SIRIUS Satellite Radio back in those days. 7 years and 4 kids later...I now realize I was a complete fool.

A report came out today that showed that, on average, Americans waste more than 38 hours a year stuck in traffic. I guess if they would have surveyed me back in the day I could have skewed those nubmers even higher. What in the hell was I thinking?

Here is the story: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/09/18/traffic.congestion.ap/index.html

And here is the version I prefer, from Phish...Slave to the Traffice Light - Part One and Part Two:

Proof That Pigs Can Fly

The giant pigs at the Roger Waters show in Irvine on my birthday....reminded me, subtly, of the mid-90s Pink Floyd show at the Horesehoe in Columbus, OH.....the pigs were a big part of the shows' first set closer back in Columbus - permanently etched in my memory.
Notice the political messages written on the pig.....there were plenty anti-Bush remarks painted on the pig.

Not too bad of a show, though our seats sucked. Joins other birthday shows that include Phish 95 (2nd set only thanks to Hylant) in Atlanta w/ Wedge, Antelope->Fluff 1st set closer that we missed, The Grateful Dead at Freedom Hall, and Althea w/ Hunter, two Widespread Panic shows (one at the Wiltern), as well as a few ekoostik Hookah shows.
