When I was growing up, Atari and Intellivision were the kicking game systems. I used to be a master at Donkey Kong, Frogger and the basketball game. I want to see the real-life version of Jungle King performed - where they swing through the jungle and jump over alligators.

Slave to the Traffic Light

When Kerri and I first moved to CA, my first job at Weber Shandwick/Rogers & Cowan required me to drive 2 hours each way to work 5 days a week. That was approximately 20 hours a week for 50 weeks a year over two years. Almost 2,000 hours wasted sitting in traffic on the way to and from work. Thank god for SIRIUS Satellite Radio back in those days. 7 years and 4 kids later...I now realize I was a complete fool.

A report came out today that showed that, on average, Americans waste more than 38 hours a year stuck in traffic. I guess if they would have surveyed me back in the day I could have skewed those nubmers even higher. What in the hell was I thinking?

Hockey Fights During Football Season

Even though it is football season, I ran across this hockey fight b/w the Flyers & Senators. It reminded me of the days of when I used to watch these videos with Hunter and Packo.

Keller Scores 5 Goals

Although it was great to catch up with friends this past weekend, one thing that will haunt me forever is the fact that I missed Keller's first soccer game. Keller had his own cheerleader squad there to support him (Kerri, mom, dad), but I can't help but feel that I missed out on a once in a lifetime opportunity to see my first born son excel at the first real 'game' of his life.

Keller scored five goals in the game and even though they don't keep score, word has it that his team won. But as he told me when I got home Sunday, he was a good sport and "that is what counts."

Marriage in the Mountains

Josh and Kelly Mariea were married in Breckenridge, CO this weekend. Weddings are always a great time to catch up with old friends, but also provide an opportunity to re-live my wedding day. Although Kerri wasn't able to attend, I was constantly reminded why I married her. From watching my friends with their wives/girlfriends to watching friends of mine interact with their kids, it reinforced the fact that I found someone special.

Barry Sonnenfeld Visits the Sonos Booth

Barry Sonnenfeld, executive producer of the Men in Black series, Get Shorty and the upcoming ABC show 'Pushing Daisies' stopped by the Sonos booth at CEDIA last week in Denver. His new show has been receiving rave reviews.

This is the school that will forever be a punchline for any and all Michigan fans. This video surely adds even more amunition to the hazing experience all Maize and Blue saps will have to encounter for the next 30 years.

By far the best story of the weekend - calling for Carr's head. As a Buckeye fan, it will be sad to see Carr go....I guess I should finally start working on my Website salute to Lloyd Carr....more to come.

And to boot, this happened on the weekend of my sister's wedding...financed by a Wolverine alumni and marrying a Wolverine fan husband who's father graduated as a Wolverine attended by a number of close family members and friends who are also Wolverine fans......I'll be sure to get back to this topic soon.
